I began writing poetry at the age of 8. At 13, I completed a short story which received Honorable Mention in the Northwest Young Fiction Writer's contest. After I started college, I focused my writing on nonfiction, specifically human rights and immigration. This continues to be my interest. Over the past 5 years, I have published intercultural essays and recently completed my first book. 

My travels and the people I meet are endless sources of inspiration for my writing. I write intercultural pieces, specifically about human experiences, and have a special interest in genocide, refugees and immigration.
